Seven Plants:
What We Left Behind
Saturday, August 29, 2026
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
St Scholastica Monastery
In the late 1990s, an indigenous elder shared a teaching with me about deepening our relationship with the plant world for these times. In 2024, after working with the teaching for decades, I published "Seven Plants: An Elder's Teaching" and began to share the process and teaching in workshops. Another elder told me that we need to go back to what we left behind when our ancestors emigrated: our relationship with the land, the plants, the animals, and the seasons.
On the Celtic harvest festival of Lughnasadh, we will gather at the Center to continue our journey with plants. The focus of this day-long workshop is to deepen knowledge of plant communities, to share ancestral tales and rituals, to talk about our relationships with your 'sacred seven' plants.
For those who are experiencing this teaching for the first time, there will be a review of the teaching in the morning, as well as the book and worksheets available. If you are a returning participant, you become part of the teaching/sharing circle!
Imagine the cornucopia of wisdoms and relationships that await this gathering!
Please note: For those new to Marina’s offerings, there is no need for you to have attended her earlier offerings. This workshop/retreat will review and deepen the teachings and experiences from her other workshops. ALL ARE WELCOME!
