Our Staff
Dawn has been involved in ministry since 1993 in the areas of formation, liturgy, and spirituality. She received her master’s degree from Saint John’s University in Collegeville, MN in 2002, and completed her doctorate from Aquinas Institute of Theology in Saint Louis, MO in 2015. Dawn’s passion and experience lie in serving as a spiritual director, leading retreats, facilitating group processes for formation and spirituality, and teaching, all for supporting each person’s unique journey to God. Dawn has been with the Center for Spirituality and Enrichment, since October 2017 and looks forward with great anticipation to what the future will bring!

Sr. Lois Eckes
Hospitality Director
Sister Lois has been a member of St. Scholastica since 1957. She has a Master’s Degree in Religious Education from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH, and did graduate work in Monastic Studies at St. John's University in Collegeville, MN where she received her spiritual direction training. She has also participated in a spiritual direction renewal program at Shalem Institute in Maryland. She is a trained chaplain, a former elementary teacher and principal, novice director, director of McCabe Renewal Center and prioress of St. Scholastica Monastery. She has been a spiritual director for over 30 years.

Sr. Dorene King
Program Coordinator
Sister Dorene has a unique background, for a sister, of having served parishes as an ordained Lutheran pastor. In addition, she is acquainted with a multitude of denominations due to her work as an organist and chaplain. Sister Dorene has been a certified spiritual director since 2013.

Jean Anderson
Administrative Assistant
Jean Anderson has a variety of skills garnered while working in the hospitality and higher education sectors during her career as a college food service director. In her current role she is able to help organize and support spirituality and enrichment programs as well as help coordinate catering needs.
