Lenten Blessings (by Dawn Carrillo)

Dawn Carrillo

While we are not yet able to physically come together for communal prayer, we are grateful for technology and the many ways it enables us to keep connected, continuing to hold one another in loving care. We invite you to join in this short prayer service, knowing that we are praying with you and for you as we all enter the holy season of Lent, the “springtime” of the church.

A most blessed Lent…

This was truly beautiful and appreciated as so many of us cannot gather on this Ash Wednesday as we have done in previous years. Many thanks for this lovely beginning for our Lenten journey.

Talk about finding a positive part of Covid!! Without Covid we may not be hearing this beautiful Ash Wednesday meditation. Thank you Dawn, this is so beautiful. Gives us a jump start into Lent.

Dawn, we are delighted and calmed and know the annual needed restoration is underway. The service was truly beautiful and meaningful. Just right. Since you gave the beautiful singer no credit, we assume you carried us along in word and voice and spirit. Thank you. Many images captured perfectly the love flowing from God, through God’s people. Peace and Love to all at St. Scholastica Monastery. Spring will come, is coming.

Warren, you guessed correctly. It is a service I put together a few years ago when I was working on my doctorate. It was a joy to share!

Peace and love to you and Jackie,
      Dawn

Thank you so much Dawn. The prayer service was so very moving. Thank you for reaching out to us to bring this beauty and solemnity into our isolation and the general weirdness of this time.
