Lenten Blessings (by Dawn Carrillo)
While we are not yet able to physically come together for communal prayer, we are grateful for technology and the many ways it enables us to keep connected, continuing to hold one another in loving care. We invite you to join in this short prayer service, knowing that we are praying with you and for you as we all enter the holy season of Lent, the “springtime” of the church.
A most blessed Lent…
Thank you for these meaningful and love filled Ash Wednesday reflections. I am grateful for the heart opening, positive and encouraging prayers.
Prayer and blessings on this needed ministry.
Thank you for your comments, Mary, as well as your encouragement!
This was truly beautiful and appreciated as so many of us cannot gather on this Ash Wednesday as we have done in previous years. Many thanks for this lovely beginning for our Lenten journey.
Susan, thank you for your comments. I am glad it helped!
Talk about finding a positive part of Covid!! Without Covid we may not be hearing this beautiful Ash Wednesday meditation. Thank you Dawn, this is so beautiful. Gives us a jump start into Lent.
Thank you, Gail! So glad it resonated…Dawn
Dawn, we are delighted and calmed and know the annual needed restoration is underway. The service was truly beautiful and meaningful. Just right. Since you gave the beautiful singer no credit, we assume you carried us along in word and voice and spirit. Thank you. Many images captured perfectly the love flowing from God, through God’s people. Peace and Love to all at St. Scholastica Monastery. Spring will come, is coming.
Warren, you guessed correctly. It is a service I put together a few years ago when I was working on my doctorate. It was a joy to share!
Peace and love to you and Jackie,
Thank you so much Dawn. The prayer service was so very moving. Thank you for reaching out to us to bring this beauty and solemnity into our isolation and the general weirdness of this time.
Thank you, Yvonne! I am so glad it touched your heart!
Thank you for this soul stretching prayer service.
May the grace of God be with you and with all of us as we journey together
Sister Beverly Raway
You are most welcome, Sister Beverly. It was wonderful to be able to share this. It seemed to fit right in with what we needed at this moment.
Grace and peace to you,
A deeply moving prayer service, Dawn! Thank you for gifting us all with this beautiful prayer, inviting us to welcome this Lenten season, the “Springtime of the Soul”, with open, expectant, listening hearts!
You are welcome! Yes, the “Springtime of the Soul”!
Thank you for the beautiful, meaningful, and very powerful prayer.
You are welcome, Sister Teri!
Thank you so much. This was just lovely..
I am so glad that it touched you, Mary! Peace to you-Dawn
