Sister Dorene has a unique background, for a sister, of having served parishes as an ordained Lutheran pastor.  In addition, she is acquainted with a multitude of denominations due to her work as an organist and chaplain.  Sister Dorene has been a certified spiritual director since 2013.

Sr. Lois Eckes, OSB

Sr. Lois Eckes

Hospitality Coordinator

Sister Lois has been a member of St. Scholastica since 1957. She has a Master’s Degree in Religious Education from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH, and did graduate work in Monastic Studies at St. John's University in Collegeville, MN where she received her spiritual direction training. She has also participated in a spiritual direction renewal program at Shalem Institute in Maryland. She is a trained chaplain, a former elementary teacher and principal, novice director, director of McCabe Renewal Center and prioress of St. Scholastica Monastery. She has been a spiritual director for over 30 years.

Sr. Pauline Micke, OSB

Outreach Coordinator

Sister Pauline earned her Master’s in Theology degree from St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN. She has been a Spiritual Director since 2008, and has served as a counselor for Addiction/Recovery Treatment Groups & Initial Assessment for nine years. Sr. Pauline has experience leading retreats for individuals, groups, clergy, campus ministry, Parish and Diocesan staff, Parish retreats, and more. In addition, she works with addiction recovery including assessment, hearing 5th steps, AA Retreats, presentations for health and human services organizations. Sr. Pauline is a member of Spiritual Directors International.

Jean Anderson

Administrative Assistant

Jean Anderson has a variety of skills garnered while working in the hospitality and higher education sectors during her career as a college food service director.  In her current role she is able to help organize and support spirituality and enrichment programs as well as help coordinate catering needs.
