The Spirituality of Imperfection:

An Advent Retreat

Saturday, December 4, 2021

9:00 a.m. to Noon

via Zoom

The notion of perfection is haunting, mostly because it is elusive and infrequent. What if we leveraged the benefits of imperfection, especially its capacity to sharpen our eye to what we value, rekindle our resolve to move forward, and hearten our efforts to stay in community?  This half day Advent workshop explores this undervalued aspect of the human journey using readings from poets, essayists, and spiritual writers, private reflection and writing, and small and large group discussion.

Facilitator: Victor Klimoski, a writer, adult educator, and consultant whose poetry practice has evolved over the past 30 years as he explores the meanderings of his mind and heart. As a writer and adult educator, poetry gives him a fresh language to interpret his experience. Vic’s teaching lets him accompany other writers in that same work.
