"Embodying the Mystery"

An Advent Retreat

Saturday, December 10, 2022

9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. CT

via Zoom

The narrative leading up to the birth of Jesus is filled with a cast of characters able to fire our imaginations about what the Incarnation means.  In this time of retreat, we will first use poems, brief essays, and art to meet some of these characters through the words and images of others.  Then we will each have a chance to select and create a story around one of the characters to probe how they help illuminate the mystery of “God with us.”

Facilitator: Victor Klimoski, a writer, adult educator, and consultant whose poetry practice has evolved over the past 30 years as he explores the meanderings of his mind and heart. As a writer and adult educator, poetry gives him a fresh language to interpret his experience. Vic’s teaching lets him accompany other writers in that same work.

Cost: The requested offering is $20 per participant.  If you feel you can pay more to help cover our costs, we gratefully accept your generosity.
